To make a brutal hit your brutal player is first matched against the opponent who has the ball or the protector who jumps in and try to intervene.

To increase the chances of making a hit the following matters (in prioritezed order)
- The brutality score your player has
- Your player's ability in "robustness"
- Your player's ability in "tackling"
- Your club expertise in brutality (if your club has it)
- Your player's ability in "speed"
- Your player's ability in "vision"
- Your player's ability in "heading"

If a hit is made the damage is based on the player you made a hit on's "protection score" and his "resilience" ability but also on your own player's "brutality score" and "robustness" ability.
